Hi, I'm Zach Reid.

Field Technician & Developer.

I'm a field service technician who builds practical software to fill gaps in real operational workflows, internal tooling, self-hosted infrastructure, and Python and Rails projects shaped by hands-on experience in the printer/copier industry.

I focus on user-centered design because I've been the end-user. That means bridging the gap between how software is built and how it's actually used, whether that's a GUI, a server API, or a PostgreSQL-backed data pipeline.

Currently, exploring Rails and building front-end apps that mesh with my existing Python backends.

Visit my portfolio and DevHub to see the work and how I think about it.
